Help! How do I read the Turnitin’s Originality Report to improve my writing skills? (video)

Many professors at Saint Leo University are using Turnitin to help and improve their student’s writing skills. However, students (as well as professors) are still learning how to use the program quickly and effectively. The below video shows, in detail, how to read the Originality Report, how students may want to use their paper’s “matched” areas as a tool to increase writing skills, format styles (e.g., APA, MLA, ASA, Chicago, and etc.), and, most importantly, increase their academic performance. Graduates and their families gathered Friday evening at Florida Gateway College to hear guest commencement speaker Elizabeth Porter, who represents Lake City and surrounding areas in the Florida House of Representatives. The local class of 2012 was comprised largely of undergraduates who had earned the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Applied Science degree at the undergraduate degree level. Several graduate degrees were also conferred: the Master of Business Administration, the Master of Science, and the Master of Education degrees. (more…)

9-year old joins religious group protestors with a message of his own that has taken the country by storm.

Via Gawker comes this picture of 9-year old Josef Miles protesting the anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church. Apparently Miles and his mother were driving around Topeka, Kansas, spotted the group chanting its typical hate, and Miles asked to pull over so he could stage a solo protest.
